Esports icon and true Dota 2 legend, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin has finally revealed his own organization name.
B8 (to be read as Bait) “unites professionals, aspiring talents and esports fans,” says the brief description of the organization on the newly created Twitter account.
B8 reveal was made via a short movie directed by Moritz Zimmermann (MooseWD), who was also behind some of the best The International player profiles movies ever made. B8’s introduction short film was posted on the organization’s YouTube channel and it features an old Dendi going on a fishing trip with his grandson in January 2059. The action takes place in a time when Clement “Puppey” Ivanov is the President of Estonia, and when although “all good things come to an end,” “the golden years are not over.” The film is taking the viewers back into the Golden Years, when Dendi was winning the first The International with Na’Vi and reached the grand finals for the next two editions, and it ends with a teaser for the fans, who are promised to get more information “soon.”
Over the past few months, Dendi released info about his new project bit by bit, and even introduced a possible roster for his Dota 2 team. He played in the regional qualifiers for the recently concluded Leipzig Major, but after failing to grab a ticket to the second set of Dota Pro Circuit tournaments, he lost a couple of players. No roster update has been made since then, and so far his team is theoretically featuring Rinat “KingR” Abdullin and Nikola “LeBronDota” Popović in the support positions.
