Virtus Pro is a historical organization in the esports scene and currently has notable teams in Counter-Strike and Dota 2. In CS, they notably won a major, EMS Katowice 2014 and were long considered as a top 5/10 team. In Dota, the team finished twice at the 5/6th place at the International 2015 and 2017.
The Dota 2 team recently won ESL One Birmingham and finished 2nd at the China Dota2 Supermajor, two events that are part of the Dota 2 pro circuit. Unfortunately, the CS team has been much less successful for about two years now, despite some good performances at times. The team is currently 19th in the HLTV ranking despite making moves in early 2018.
To be totally clear on the announcement from earlier today. We'll use MegaFon corp. colors for the remaining part of 2018. This is a game changing partnership that helps us to keep our fans happy. The new VP brand identity will be revealed in November and will be used from Jan 19 pic.twitter.com/bobcQ9C3Rm

Anyway, we shouldn’t see the new VP CS:GO player Michał “snatchie” Rudzki wear the usual VP jersey and colors. The reason? An important new partnership with MegaFon, Russia’s second largest mobile phone operator. That’s why the Russian organization will go from the usual white and orange to… green and purple!
It’s a brand new visual identity as the team will have a new logo and new jersey. The organization will wear the new colors until the end of the year. Don’t freak out, the change is not permanent, the organization’s General Manager Roman Dvoryankin explained that this change will only be for 2018 and that a new visual identity will be unveiled at the end of the year for the 15th anniversary of Virtus Pro. The new logo and the new colors will not be present on the stickers for the next CS major.
