After a brief time in the scene, it appears SMASH has parted ways with their CS:GO team. The organization revealed that they wouldn’t be gone for good though and stated that “an awesome fresh line-up” was waiting with an “announcement coming up very soon.”

While no more information was provided as to why the players and organization were going their separate ways from the organization, Martin “STKYKO” Styk has provided some additional details regarding the move.

According to a tweet from the player, SMASH and the team had been on a 3-month trial with the players electing not to sign “real” contracts following the conclusion of the trial.

He lists “differences on how team should be ran” as the primary reason that the players chose to seek a new home. He also doesn’t seem to mind mentioning that during this time, the SMASH CS:GO team did not receive a salary as “SMASH needed to find sponsors since they are new to esports.”

It is expected that the lineup will be making their way to GODSENT who recently revealed they’d been rejoining the space.
