Michael “shroud” Grzesiek said some pretty harsh things about CSGO in one of his recent streams but there’s some truth to it. During a broadcast on February 6th, the former CSGO professional who played for Cloud9 during his peak in the title has more recently been playing Riots relatively new first-person shooter, VALORANT.
In terms of why he’s been doing that, he cites the rampant cheating problem in Counter-Strike as a major reason. When a viewer told him that he should play CSGO, shroud basically laughed at the idea.
“I’d love to play CSGO if it was f*cking good,” shroud commented.
“Every single time you play CS, you’re trying to casually jump into a matchmaking…aimbot, spinbot, f*cking anti f*cking cheat f*cking headshot, wallhacks. They got it all dude, they’re teleporting around and sh*t, it’s f*cking crazy ” he explained.
In terms of VALORANT, he says you can be “confident” you’re getting legit opponents.
“You jump in, you play, you’re confident, you go whatever, play your game, play your two games, have a good time or have a bad time,” he said. “but at least you know you’re not gonna get f*cking cheated.”
The former Cloud9 player and popular Twitch streamer is known for his insane FPS talents, known by many as one of the best to ever do it. However, according to many of the professional VALORANT players, the game “is just way too easy mechanically.”
Is CSGO’s cheating problem too big? Is shroud overselling it? Is VALORANT too easy to beat CSGO in terms of real competition?
