More reports are piling up on who will fill the empty roster slots available on Cloud9. This time it is Rush B Media that has seemingly uncovered a change to plans previously leaked.

After a report from Dust2.DK stated that Cloud9 were targeting Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke and Jakob “JUGi” Hansen from OpTic Gaming, the former seems to be off the table. The new report states that k0nfig is no longer in talks with Cloud9, however, JUGi is on the chopping block with OpTic and is definitely interested in finding a new place to call home.

While k0nfig was surely looking to be a solid addition to Cloud9 if he can show the form he’s known for, JUGi was a litle more of a question mark given his lack of performance under OpTic. This potential change to the roster move puts Cloud9 in an awkward situation where they may elect to clean their hands of it completely and look elsewhere. This is of course just speculation.

Another report regarding OpTic from Dexerto states that the organization is looking to acquire Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen from Rogue, meaning if k0nfig stays, someone has to go. According to the rumors, this player is Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer.

OpTic Gaming has fielded a full Danish lineup for nearly a year, but haven’t been able to make much noise on the big stage and were recently knocked out of the DreamHack qualifiers by a mix team.

Both OpTic and Cloud9 are in dire need of change and it seems plans are starting to come together better for some than others.
