It’s official – Virtus.pro has signed Arek “Vegi” Nawojski to its Counter-Strike division. The legendary Polish organization has been on the hunt for a fifth since benching the squad’s in-game leader Mateusz ‘TOAO’ Zawistowski last month.

The 18-year-old has been trialing with the squad during several recent online matches and it appears things have gone well enough for Virtus.pro to bring him on board officially.

He has spent a year as a member of PACT and hasn’t been around the professional scene much longer than that. Virtus.pro brings in Vegi in the hopes of turning their organization around.

In the official post from the organization Roman Dvoryankin, General Manage of Virtus.pro, shared some thoughts on the pickup and the overall direction of the squad.

We are continuing search of talents capable of returning our CS:GO roster to an acceptable level. Despite his young age, Vegi has already proved himself as a promising player and a competent teammate.

We expect Arek to bolster the team in every way. Also I would like to thank TOAO for his time with the team. Mateusz could not achieve his true potential but there is no doubting he will have no trouble continuing his professional ascent.

Virtus.pro CS:GO roster:

  • Paweł “byali” Bieliński
  • Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski
  • Arek “Vegi” Nawojski
  • Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski (coach)
