Let’s get straight to the point – NRG has what it takes to consistently be a title contender. The pieces have been found and put into place and now it’s time to see just how well this lineup can perform in the long-term.

There’s no doubt in my mind that NRG will be making quarterfinal or higher appearances at almost any event they attend given the tools they have at their disposal which is exactly what I’ll talk about now.

The latest addition, Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz is a veteran and clearly capable tactician. There’s a reason he’s a sought after in-game leader in the North American scene and while his brains may be a larger part of that, stanislaw is also one of the few in-game leaders that is a capable and dependable fragger.

During his time at compLexity he was certainly not working with the same caliber of players as he has at his disposal in NRG and that’s not necessarily the fault of coL’s players, they’re overall less experienced when compared to the likes of Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, Tarik “tarik” Celik, and others.

Formerly it seemed as if NRG had reached a cap and were sliding backwards ever so slightly as frustrations grew. Tarik had yet to find his footing with the NRG lineup and while Damian “daps” Steele is an obviously seasoned in-game leader, he lacked the ability to get the frags that were missing by an uncomfortable tarik.

stanislaw has helped the system of NRG incorporate the strengths of all the players while not leaving a gap in the firepower. While tarik may not be leading the charge in terms of frags, his role on the team seems to be working much better with stanislaw able to take some of that pressure off of his shoulders.

The 25-year-old led his team not only in game plan but also in total kills in the teams 2-0 over Astralis where he finished with a +23 kill-to-death ratio alongside the highest average damage per round in the server at 94.8.

Making it through the New Champions Stage with a 3-0 record is a fantastic start and now we’ll get to see just how much depth they have in their map pool when taking on the best teams in the world. Natus Vincere will be their first test and if Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev shows up alongside Denis “electronic” Sharipov’s already star performance, NRG will certainly have their hands full.
