The Cloud9 roster struggles saga continues as a new report has surfaced that another member will be leaving. According to the report from Dexerto, Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey will be parting ways with the North American organization.
kioShiMa had joined up with the team following the departure of Tyler “skadoodle” Latham in November 2018. During his time with the team, roster struggles continued to be an obstacle as Maikil “Golden” Selim’s illness prevented him from attending every event outside of Blast Pro Series Copenhagen.
This move comes following a list of changes being made to the team as Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist are also no longer a part of the roster. While flusha stepped away for a break from competitive play, Zellsis saw his trial with the team ended following the IEM Katowice 2019 Major.
Golden has since returned to the active lineup and will serve as the teams in-game leader once again.
It was revealed by VPEsports yesterday that Cloud9 had elected to pull out of ECS season 7 week 2 “due to extenuating circumstances.” It was assumed their continued roster struggles had played a role and this report certainly helps to back the case.
Should this news prove to be true, Cloud9 will be down to just Will “RUSH” Wierzba, Timothy “autimatic” Ta, and Golden.
