A Danish shuffle is occurring below Astralis. North has elected to make some changes moving forward and that includes the removal of Casper “cadiaN” Møller after eight months with the squad.

cadiaN elected to leave Rogue and return home to Denmark to compete with North, however, the roster didn’t live up to their own expectations and have elected to adjust. This adjustment includes the addition of Jakob “JUGi” Hansen from OpTic Gaming, another Danish roster.

cadiaN has expressed interest in finding a new team to compete with and will work on his own game in the meantime according to a tweet from the player.

This move will see North’s star player Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså promoted to in-game leader. He shared the following words in a statement on the North website.

“I feel that the time has come for me to take on extra responsibilities within the team. Becoming an in-game leader and team captain is not a decision you make overnight. It’s something I’ve thought about many, many times during my career and I knew within myself that the day where I would make that transition was gonna come at one point but I certainly didn’t see it coming this early.

I cannot promise you miracle-results overnight and there will definitely be bumps along the road, but what I can promise you is someone who’s willing to sacrifice what it takes to bring his team to the top. I really believe that my vision and leadership will take us there. I hope you guys will follow me on this journey. It would mean a lot to me.”
