German organization BIG will return to ESL One Cologne the organization has revealed. The home town heroes had a great showing in the events previous iteration, having made it to the finals where they battled it out with Natus Vincere. Na’Vi was the first team invited back to the event with BIG filling the second spot.
The fan favorites were unable to pull it off, but showed some true power in front of the home crowd and will return to the Counter-Strike Cathedral with some improved firepower. After some negotiation with İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş, a contract was signed and the star Turkish player was brought on board.

BIG’s most recent event saw them achieve a third-place finish out of four at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational. The newly formed roster fell to the new FaZe squad in the elimination match to decide who would face Cloud9 in the finals.
A total of 12 teams will make their way to one of the biggest tournaments of the year. The event is scheduled to run from July 2 to 7 with the playoffs being held at the LANXESS Arena from July 5 to 7. The event will have a $300,000 prize pool and is looking to be filled with the worlds top teams battling it out.
