Things aren’t look good for those wanting to see Richard “shox” Papillon join up with the Vitality roster. It was previously reported that the organization was looking toward gaining the service of either shox or Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey but it appears factors outside of Vitality’s control may prevent bringing in the former.
According to a report from 1pv.fr, shox’s buyout is a cause for concern for the organization. It is stated that “several sources” have reported an asking price of $500,000 to $700,000 for the star French player.
On the flip side, kioShiMa is a free pick up as he’s been teamless since departing Cloud9 several months ago. Having no contract and therefore no buyout has placed kioShiMa at the top of the pole according to the report.
The team has already pulled out of one event while trying to sort out the roster, and even if the buyout is dropped, there’s still more negotiation to be done and that could take longer than Vitality would like to give.
This puts shox in a situation very similar to that of Marcelo “coldzera” David who benched himself on MIBR. Extremely high buyouts mean these star players spend much more time on the bench than they, other teams, or their fans would like.
While nothing is in stone yet, kioShiMa is looking very likely to be the newest member of Team Vitality, joining star player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
Potential Vitality roster:

-Cédric “RpK” Guipouy
-Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
-Alex “ALEX” McMeekin
-Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey
