According to a report from HLTV, Miikka “suNny” Kemppi of mousesports has drawn the eye of North American organization, Cloud9.

The Finnish player has been with mousesports since August 2017. The German organizations roster has been up in the air during their recent low points. The team benched Martin “STYKO” Styk and Chris “chrisJ” de Jong following elimination at the European Minor but now even that is potentially having aspects reverted.

Cloud9 made the announcement yesterday that Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro’s trial was over, opening a place on the roster. A day prior, it was revealed that Robin “Flusha” Rönnquist would be stepping away from competing while Maikil “Golden” Selim would finally be returning to the active lineup following an illness which saw a chaotic time follow for Cloud9. Plagued by roster instability, the team has not been able to find it’s footing since the departure of Jake “stewie2k” Yip and Tarik “tarik” Celik.

This wouldn’t be the first time Cloud9 had scooped up a member of mousesports as the boys in blue had managed to play with STYKO in 2018 following his initial benching. He would return to mousesports following his time with Cloud9, but ultimately find himself riding the pine once more.

Current Cloud9 CS:GO roster:

  • Fabien ‘kioShiMa’ Fiey
  • William ‘RUSH’ Wierzba
  • Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta
  • Maikil ‘Golden’ Selim
  • Miikka “suNny” Kemppi (potential fifth)
