Some rumors do come true. Natus Vincere has replaced Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev on their Counter-Strike team just a day after rumors started circulating that he was on his way out. Taking his place on the starting lineup will be Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov now previously of Winstrike.
Boombl4 made his first real impression when he helped Quantum Bellator achieve their miracle run at the ELEAGUE Boston Major where they would finish in the top eight after entering as one of the lowest teams in the event.
“I am grateful to Natus Vincere and the players for this opportunity. I will give it my all every game, every tournament, no matter what. There’s lots of work to be done, thanks to fans for the support.
I won’t be talking big, I am used to letting my actions speak for me, not words.” the Russian player said.
This move follows a lengthy list of disappointing results for Na’Vi. The Ukrainian-Russian mix has failed to live up to the hype built around a team featuring the worlds best player in Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
Edward was an original member of Na’Vi during its 2009 inception having been a veteran of Counter-Strike 1.6. The 31-year-old has been in the finals of three CS:GO Majors including DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, MLG Columbus 2016 and FACEIT Major London 2018.
As part of the agreement, Edward will be on loan to Winstrike through the end of 2019.
