After much speculation and rumors, Piotr “morelz” Taterka has officially joined the starting lineup of Polish organization Virtus.pro.
morelz, a rifler, had already played with Virtus.pro as a stand-in following the departure of Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski to mousesports. The squad recently found themselves knocked out at 0-3 from the New Challenger Stage of the FACEIT Major currently taking place in London. Filip “NEO” Kubski and co. suffered losses at the hands of OpTic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and North.
It was announced prior to the event that Paweł “byali” Bieliński would no longer be with the organization following the event and as their run came to an end, the official announcement was made.
“We, just like our fans, are concerned about the roster’s results, and can not remain idle in the face of two failed Majors in a row. We will announce the next steps that will allow Virtus.pro to return to the list of the world’s best teams over the course of September. As for Piotr, I am sure that constant practice will accelerate his progress among the team’s active roster even more,” General Manager of Virtus.pro, Roman Dvoryankin said in the announcement.
The teams first outing with this lineup will be at the BLAST Pro Series in Istanbul from September 28-29 where they’ll compete for the $250,000 prize purse.
