ESL has revealed the talent lineup for the upcoming IEM Global Challenge. Janko “YNk” Paunović makes his tournament to the broadcast stage at the event after two coaching stints with MIBR and FaZe. He has been away from the analyst desk since mid-2018.
The $500,000 event will run from December 15th to 20th and boast a lineup of teams including Astralis, Vitality, and Natus Vincere.
In an update today, it has been revealed that Tres “stunna” Saranthus will no longer be serving as the events host or member of a broadcast trio due to a positive COVID-19 test. At this time it is unknown as to who else this may effect with ESL saying, “despite not even visiting our ESL studio in Cologne, several people from the broadcast team had brief contact with Stunna. They will be quarantined, and we will evaluate if and how they can potentially join the broadcast at a later stage, based on test results and medical advice.”
This leaves Frankie Ward as the sideline reporter while YNk is joined by Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill and Alex “Machine” Richardson in one trio and Harry “JustHarry” Russell and Hugo Byron currently just a duo due to stunna being unable to join.
