In a surprising move, GODSENT has sold the entirety of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster to Red Reserve.
This move marks Red Reserves re-entry into the competitive scene of the Counter-Strike franchise and provides them with a young roster that has been steadily gaining valuable experience in the LAN circuit. The team boasts over $200,000 in career earnings and will be looking to take it to the next level with their new organization.
It also marks a move by former part-owner of GODSENT, RFRSH, to meet the requirement set by the World Esports Association (WESA) that it removes its connections to two of its three organizations. The company had ties to GODSENT, Heroic, and Astralis at the time of this transaction with the former now being cut.
Simon “Twist” Eliasson, a member of the CS:GO team had the following to say in regards to move: “I am really happy teaming up with Red Reserve we as a team will continue doing our best to reach our goals for the future, I’d like to thank GODSENT/rfrsh for the time being it’s been one hell of a learning experience for me being one of the “founders” in godsent. I’d like to also thank every godsent player I’ve played with from start to end. especially znajder and pronax which i have shared some of the best moments in my life with.”
The rosters next showing and first under the red of Red Reserve will be on June 17th – June 20th at Dreamhack Summer in Jonkoping, Sweden. The team will be fighting for their slice of the $100,000 prize pool alongside teams such as OpTic Gaming and compLexity.
