Another reunion looks to be on the horizon for fnatic CS:GO. According to a report from 1pv.fr, the prominent esports and Counter-Strike organization will be bringing back Robin “flusha” Rönnquist and Maikil “Golden” Selim.
This news comes on the back of fnatic’s decision to release Richard “Xizt” Landström and Simon “twist” Eliasson were following a string of disappointing results. An organization that originally found its footing in the world of Counter-Strike was unhappy with failing to be a consistent contender.
In addition to the player changes, Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson was also removed from his role as coach of the team and replaced by Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson.
It is also noted that fnatic had originally planned to get Tim “nawwk” Jonasson but were unable to do so given GamerLegion’s unwillingness to sell.
flusha has been inactive since a brief stint in North America where he competed with Cloud9. Prior to that, flusha had spent all but six months (GODSENT) of the previous five years competing under the fnatic banner.
While Golden’s history isn’t as long, it follows a similar path. Golden was a member of fnatic’s academy team before getting his shot on the main squad where he for nearly a year between 2017 and 2018. He was also grabbed up by Cloud9 during their attempt to build an international team. Recently he was playing alongside Ninjas in Pyjamas on a stand-in basis.
Expected fnatic CS:GO roster:
-Maikil “Golden” Selim
-Jesper “JW” Wecksell
-Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
-Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
-Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
