Big news for Counter-Strike fans as a fan-favorite map rework will be making its debut in just a few months. Shawn “FMPONE” Snelling, one of the creators of Cache has revealed plans for the rework to be played as part of the show match at ESL One New York.
The announcement was made in a video shared by FMPONE on his Twitter account in which he stated that he and Salvatore “Volcano” Garozzo had completed the process of reworking the map.
Cache was removed from the active duty map pool in March to make room for Vertigo which has not been well received even after several months and tweaks have been applied.
Still not seeing much play, a recent update once again targeted the map in the hopes that it would become a larger part of the competitive circuit. Several areas were widened, rafters towards the B bombsite were removed and more.
If you’re interested in checking the map out from within the server, you can get a chance to do so at ESL One New York where the ESEA booth will give fans the opportunity to try it out live from the Barclay Center.
Can’t make it to New York? Well then you’ll just have to watch the show match and hope for a quick release!
