The French scene has been a little blurry since the changes in G2 Esports with the return of Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans & Édouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux and the end of the EnVyUs adventure. G2 has begun to make its marks little by little, 3DMAX shows interesting things, while LDLC does not seem to move for now.

Behind them, the subtop exploded and lots of world-class players are available. Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Nathan “NBK” Schmitt are on the G2 bench.Vincent “Happy” Cervoni, Cédric “RpK” Guipouy, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey are free. Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss, for his part, has bounced back to Imperial, a promising team. With the Major approaching in September, there is no doubt that some of them will also receive interesting offers.

Other possible candidates that can interfere in possible teams include: Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut or Alexandre “xms” Forté, Christophe “SIXER” Xia, Audric “JACKZ” Jug, Matthieu “matHEND” Roquigny, Timothée “DEVIL” Demolon and others.

It is in this context that we can tell you that all is not lost. Indeed, according to our information a new top level team is in creation.

This team would be led by a player who has decided to get into in game leading for some time now. If he had tested it a few times in the past, it is with G2 that he recently took the reins of a project and occupied this role, without success, but under very complicated conditions. Of course we are talking about Nathan “NBK” Schmitt. The latter would therefore be the brain behind the project and the leader of the squad.

He will be accompanied by a former teammate with Dan “apEX” Madesclaire. The former Titan came very close to joining mousesports before G2 tried to overplay their hand in negotiations and the German organization set its sights on Snax. He was also disappointed by NBK who had tried to join the G2 project with Ex6TenZ instead of staying with him. The situation seems to have calmed down and he will be present in this team.

Vincent “Happy” Cervoni and Cédric “RpK” Guipouy, the duo that evolved at EnVyUs and recently played as standins for Tempo Storm will try to play again with their former teammates, NBK and apEX. Happy played with them in EnVyUs 2015. RpK played with them on VeryGames for CS:Source and CS:GO.

The presence of RpK is very logical when we know the man and what he showed in 2017, Happy’s presence is a little more surprising, many players available on scene having a prior history with the players after his two and a half very complicated years in nV. The fact that he does not lead could help him to find a very good level which saw him tickle the top with EnVyUs in 2015.

Finally, it is the greatest hope of the french scene that completes the team. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut will be the X factor of the squad, the one that is expected at the highest level for over a year and a half. Now that his diploma is in his pocket, he is free to focus 100% on CS and expectations on him will be very high. His exceptional statistics online and on lan attracted the eyes of most players from the French and international scene and the move to the next level will be a real test for the young player.

Philippe “faculty” Rodier is the coach the team. He is a former player at a good level on 1.6 and he has turned to writing for a few years. He recently published two books, “L’entraîneur idéal” (The ideal coach) about football and more precisely the coaching role (coaching… you get it?) and “Jouez sérieux” (Play seriously), a book about esports. This would be his first experience at this role on CS.

Of course, nothing has been signed yet. NBK, apEX and ZywOo will have to be bought by an organization, which will also sign RpK and Happy which are currently free.

This new French team would therefore look like:

Nathan “NBK” Schmitt
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire
Vincent “Happy” Cervoni
Cédric “RpK” Guipouy
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut

Philippe “faculty” Rodier (coach)
