Great news for those using an Nvidia GPU and suffering from crashes in Apex Legends. Nvidia has released it’s latest driver update (version 419.35) which claims to solve the “DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG” crashing error.
The updates message states that it introduces “optimizations and updates” for the popular battle royale as well as Devil May Cry 5 and Tom Clancy’s The Division II.
“Our newest Game Ready Driver introduces optimizations and updates for Apex Legends, Devil May Cry 5, and Tom Clancy’s The Division II, giving you the best possible experience from the second you start playing.”
You can grab these updates drivers either directly through the GeForce experience application if you have it or from the website her: Nvidia drivers. Once you’re there, use the drop down menus to select which graphics card & operating system you have and click download.
Now that you have it downloaded, run the installer and follow the steps.
As Respawn continues to roll out their own adjustments and fixes for the game it is hoped that most crashes will be solved. So if this didn’t do it for you, stay strong, more are on the way!
