Big news for Blizzard and Overwatch fans today as a report from Rod “Slasher” Breslau to ESPN has come out stating that Overwatch 2 will be revealed at BlizzCon 2019.

The new game will feature “a new logo, new game modes, maps, heroes and PvE features” according to the report.

This follows an earlier report by Kotaku which first claimed that a PvE style Overwatch game was in the works. This has now been supported by the ESPN article which is backed by a BlizzCon source and acquired training document.

The logo is a simple change with an orange “2” being placed just off the side of the original logo for the Overwatch franchise.

In regards to PvE it is reported that Hero talents and in-game items will be added giving more depth to the would be needed for a change in focus.

In addition, Overwatch will finally see a new game mode thrown into the mix for the first time since it was released back in 2015. The mode titled “Push” will join the ranks of Assault, Control, Escort and Hybrid according to the article.

The next Hero to make their way into the game is expected this weekend as well. Echo, who made her first appearance at last year’s BlizzCon is expected to be available as a playable character.

It is expected that parts of Overwatch 2 will be available for play this weekend at BlizzCon as well.
