The EE-Sama – Sneyking six months collaboration seems to have come to an end after the Flying Penguins offlaner announced on Twitter his free agency.
Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu joined forced with Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao at the beginning of this Dota Pro Circuit season, when both joined compLexity Gaming. They placed fourth with the NA team in the regional qualifiers for the first Major, but they were on a good path to recovery by qualifying for the DreamLeague Season 10 Minor, which could have brought them the pass to the Kuala Lumpur Major. Ahead of the Minor LAN event, coL also qualified and went to the ESL One Hamburg where they placed top 8. Unfortunately, the Minor attendance brought troubles in the coL house as their carry unintentionally offended the Chinese community during an official match. In the following few weeks he was removed from the team and coL were forced to rebuild as both Sneyking and EternalEnVy chose to split ways with the organization.
While Skem tried to find a new team in Southeast Asia, EE and Sneyking formed a new NA team, FLying Penguins, and tried their luck in the DreamLeague Season 11 Major qualifiers. They reached just top six there, but qualified for the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor. Flying Penguins had a perfect run in the group stage only to get eliminated in the top four in the first series of the single elimination playoffs bracket in Kiev. Without a sponsor to help them push further in the season, and with just two Majors to go until TI9, Flying Penguins seem to be on a disbandment path. Rodrigo Lelis “Liposa” Santos departed the team on March 15 and now Sneyking announced the same thing.
EternalEnVy hasn’t made any statement regarding the future of Flying Penguins, and it’s uncertain if he will strive forward with this team or if himself will look to join an organization.
