Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida suffered a humerus fracture last year in February during the photo-shoot session at MDL Macau and underwent a serious surgical intervention that kept him on the sidelines for a couple of months.
He missed most of the previous season, and although he was able to come back in time for the TI9 qualifiers, EHOME placed third back then and missed the opportunity to play on the big stage in Shanghai.
Unfortunately, Faith_bian will now have to take a break for a couple of months once again to prepare and then recover from a scheduled nail removal surgery procedure. Although the removal of the nail in his upper right arm is considered a low-risk one, the recovery process can take months in order for him to play safety. With that in mind, EHOME announced that they are actively looking for offlane substitutes to help them in the near future tournaments.
For now, the Chinese region is just heading into the playoffs stage of ESL One Birmingham, but EHOME didn’t make the cut and will have a bit of time to test players for the next events. Over the past two months, since esports competitions had to adjust to online formats, EHOME grabbed a third place finish at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: China, third place at OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: China, fourth place in the inaugural season of CDA League and claimed the championship title of DPL-CDA Professional League Season 1.
