As the open qualifiers for the next Major are about to begin next week, the tournament organizers revealed the teams directly invited to the qualifiers rounds for the DreamLeague, Season 11, Stockholm Major.
The open qualifiers will actually be played on the last few days of the currently ongoing Chongqing Major, but the good news is that all the teams present now in Chongqing received direct invites to the closed qualifiers for the next Major. The Stockholm Major closed qualifiers will take place four days after the event in China ends, which is a rather short window for the teams to recover and fix the jetlag, where this is the case. For the Chinese teams, the schedule is even more inconvenient as they will have to play during their New Year’s Eve.
It gets worse for the CIS fans who will have to follow Na’Vi, the two Team Empire squads, Faith and Hope, as well as Winstrike starting from Open brackets. Neither of these teams got an invite to the Stockholm Major closed qualifiers which is a bit odd, to say the least. Pavaga Gaming received a surprising invite instead, and it appears that DreamLeague’s decision was based on this team’s most recent achievement, a first place at the LOOT.BET Winter Masters event from early January.
Here's the teams who are invited to the CORSAIR #DreamLeagueMajor closed qualifiers.
