Cheng “vtFαded” Jia Hao joined CR in the Southeast Asia qualifiers for a spot at the upcoming ESL One Birmingham 2020.

vtFαded started the season playing with EHOME in the Chinese region but following a subpar performance at MDL Chengdu major, he was put on inactive status and later on he was sent on loan to play in the Southeast Asian first roster of Cloud9. Unfortunately for him, the C9 adventure didn’t last long as the organization changed regions in the aftermath of ESL One Los Angeles Major qualifiers and made drastic roster changes as well. vtFαded returned to EHOME, but continued to stay inactive and missed a couple of online competitions so far.

Although he played in the mid lane for C9, vtFαded is now swapping back in the carry position and will replace StarGazer at CR. The team features two of the SEA veterans reunited this season, namely Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung and Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin, both looking to reignite their professional careers. Once regarded as the best SEA mid laner, Mushi is now the captain of CR leading from the offlane while Ohaiyo is adapting to the support 4 role.

Mushi and Ohaiyo began to play together again at the end of November 2019 when they formed Brothers United and fought for a spot at Leipzig Major. They were unsuccessful in the qualifiers campaign, but the roster got signed on February 1st by Team IO.  However, shortly after the Dota Pro Circuit got suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic along with all the scheduled LAN tournaments and Team IO struggled to stay relevant. The roster was dropped after failing in the open qualifiers for  ESL SEA Championship 2020, but Mushi and Ohaiyo pushed forward together playing without a sponsor under the CR tag.

CR current roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Cheng “vtFαded” Jia Hao
  • Benhur “Benhur” Lawis
  • Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung
  • Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin
  • Roger “Roddgeee” Tan

ESL One Birmingham 2020-Online open SEA open qualifiers are set to closed today, May 10 and CR are two games away from a spot to the closed regionals.
