Team Aster have only been on the Dota 2 scene for a short time, but the team have not had much luck in the Pro Circuit apart from doing rather well in qualifiers.
Now it seems as though one of the prominent players from the squad has decided to take a break from the game.
Liu ‘Sylar’ Jiajun has been a long-standing and well-known member of the Dota 2 community for quite some time, having played for the likes of LGD Gaming, Vici Gaming and EHOME before joining Team Aster last year when they formed. While not having much luck within the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season this far, it seems as though Sylar has now decided to take a short break from the competitive side of things.
A post via his Weibo seen above the player stated, “Going to take a break. Sorry guys, my bad.” Sources have confirmed with us that Sylar has said that he feels “tired” but whether or not he will return to the pro scene is still unknown. At this moment in time Sylar is still under contract with Team Aster.
We will have more news on the team including any other changes that occur as we have the information.
Update: The team have confirmed that Lu ‘Fenrir’ Chao has also decided to take a hiatus from the game.
Li ‘iceice’ will be trying out for the position 5 role while the position 1 role will be temporarily filled by the team’s second squad carry.
