Legendary midlaner and TI champion Danil “Dendi” Ishutin will be the fifth and final member of Tigers, the organization announced Tuesday. He joins other veterans of the scene, including Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung (who was signed just two days ago), David “Moonmeander” Tan and captain Sivatheeban “1437” Sivanathapillai.

This will be the first time in Dendi’s Dota 2 career that he’ll officially represent a team other than Natus Vincere. Ever since his signing to the Ukrainian organizaiton, he and Na`Vi have been synonymous. Together, Dendi and Na`Vi won The International 2011 and placed second in the subsequent two.

The tail end of Deni and Na`Vi’s cooperation, however, wasn’t as fruitful as their early years. The organization built multiple roster variations around the midlaner but failed to achieve anything significant in the past two years. In 2017, Na`Vi failed to qualify for The International for the first time in franchise history, and 2018 was even worse. Na`Vi finished 13th in the DPC Rankings and flopped out of the TI8 CIS qualifiers.
With Tigers, Dendi gets a fresh chance at winning championships again after spending five months in inactivity. As for Na`Vi, they have already opened a new chapter in their book, with Idan “MagicaL” Vardanian taking the spot of his storied predecessor. The team recently placed second at MegaFon Winter Clash in December but is yet to get on the map with any significant achievements.
