Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin’s short stint with Tigers, the SEA Dota 2 team has ended as the team announced that Dendi and Kenny ‘Xepher’ Deo would no longer be a part of their roster. Getting Dendi to SEA was a bold move considering he hadn’t played in competitive games this season. It was also one that didn’t pay off. This is what Dendi had to say about his time with Tigers:
“Thank you for giving me great opportunity to play in SEA for Tigers. It was great experience and fun times. Unfortunatly our results were not very good so I decided to try something new. I really wish you to find success and achieve the goals you want.” – Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin(quote from Tigers Facebook page)
The season stared quite well for Tigers, who won the first Minor of the season, the DreamLeague season 10 Minor and made it to the Kuala Lumpur Major. But since then, it has only been a downhill journey with a lot of roster changes and below par results. Getting Dendi might have gotten them a few extra supporters, but the results didn’t really change. The most notable accomplishment for Tigers with Dendi was the runners-up finish at the CobX Masters in India, where they lost to DeToNator in the grand finals.
Tigers are now down to three players:
Position 1: Tho ‘458’ Trinh Van
Position 3: Kim ‘Velo’ Tae-sung
Position 5: Sivatheeban ‘1437’ Sivanathapillai
As for Dendi, he is still on contract with Na’Vi. However, the question regarding his future is still unanswered for now.
