The Southeast Asia qualifiers for the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor wrapped up this morning and with that saw the first team being confirmed for the upcoming Minor.
The SEA Dota 2 scene has constantly been dominated by teams such as Fnatic, Mineski, Tigers and TNC Predator but with 2 of the above-mentioned heading to the DreamLeague Season 11 Major, it gave the rest of the region a chance to shine. BOOM ID have been around for quite some time now but for the better part of 2 years they have not really made a strong impact – until now. The team conquered DeToNator and Lotac to claim the spot as the sole SEA team at the Minor in Kiev in early March.

Both TNC and Tigers were also involved in this qualifier and held as firm favourites too. TNC bombed out in the open qualifier stages while Tigers were eliminated yesterday. This means that both TNC Predator and Tigers will both be void of Dota 2 Pro Circuit points from this rotation of Minor and Major – which does not bode well for either team.
The qualifiers for the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor continue today with the CIS region which has 2 available spots for the event as well as the North America region which has a single spot available.
