ESL One Katowice has been ongoing for two days now but even with one final day of games left to play in the Group Stage of the event, Alliance have been unable to keep themselves alive in the event – and have been eliminated.

Alliance came into day two without a victory under their belt but after a 70-minute battle with compLexity Gaming, they managed to take their first win and hoped to move forward with that. But coL had other plans and tied the series. The next opponent for Alliance would be Aster, another team without victory on day one – but Aster were a whole new team today and Alliance could not hold out.

While eliminated, Alliance still have one final series to be played tomorrow as they take on Chaos Esports Club.

Fnatic seemed nearly unstoppable both yesterday and today at ESL One Katowice 2019 – that was until they met coL. Game one did go the way of the Southeast Asians, but coL had different plans in the next game – knowing that they needed a victory to help their chances at staying in the event. While Fnatic remain at the top of their group, it is clear that they can be beaten – and Ninjas in Pyjamas would be waiting patiently for their final series against them tomorrow.

Team Aster looked down-and-out after day one, unable to find any sort of decent form – but today was a whole different side to the squad who came out swinging and put on a great show. However, Aster are not safe just yet as they are tied with coL and the two teams play their final series against one another tomorrow. A draw will move us into the following tiebreaker rule set to decide a victor:

Direct points between tied teams
Neustadt Score
Number of wins overall
Number of wins between tied teams
Time coefficient
Coin toss

These are the final fixtures for the event tomorrow:
