The Vitality roster move recently reported by our own neL has come to fruition. The organization has made Alex “ALEX” McMeekin’s position on the team official today. The British player has been a member of the French scene for as long as he’s been in the Counter-Strike scene.
The newest addition to the squad will be replacing Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer in the active lineup. Happy has been a member of the French lineup since its inception when Vitality transferred Nathan “NBK” Schmitt and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire from G2 Esports to form a new team. After five months, it appears things have not been working out within the team.

The teams biggest accomplishments to-date are a first place victory at DreamHack Atlanta and qualifying for the next stage in the Minor for the upcoming IEM Katowice Major.
ALEX’s top accolades include a first place finish at ESWC 2017 and ESL Pro European Championship before succeeding in making it to the playoffs at a major event, IEM Chicago 2018 where he led LDLC. His leadership role will not remain in Vitality, however, as NBK is set to hold on to the reigns while ALEX makes his way into the system.
